Development of New Photoswitches for 3D-Printing Applications

A precise spatiotemporal control of chemical reactions can be utilized to control reactivity at the nanoscale or aid in the production of complex three-dimensional structures at the micro- and macroscale. One way to achieve such control is through photoswitches and, more broadly, through systems whose activity depends on the absorption of photons of two different wavelengths. The study and optimization of such systems can bring improvements in 3D printing and enable the targeted change of physicochemical properties on command.
